Ways to Self Care in a pandemic

Introduction

I am your everyday TYWLS student. It seems horrible to stay at home and watch numbers of people dying. However, we must take away our focus on negative things and be positive. Hope relies on optimisim. It is time to take care of ourselves with my great tips.

Tip #1: Have enough sleep + wake up early

When tired and staying up all night either on social media or looking at memes, you need to have sleep. At least an approximate of 8 hours. Similarly, we should wake up on time and be a lot more active. AFter all, the early bird gets the first worm.

  • Correlates with better grades
  • Helps you to sustain a healthier diet
  • Enhances your productivity
  • Gives you a better mental health
  • Gives you more time to exercise
  • Tip #2: Drink a lot of water

    Did you know not drinking water could give you headaches? As well as the decrease in helping your skin? I see that some of us like to put lotion on ourselves, but what about drinking a healthy amount of water? There is no argument here. Drinking water is NECESSARY. So, now drop the Coco cola bottle and go get a glass of water.

    Tip #3: Go outside

    Being in quarantine does not mean you can't have vitamin D or fresh air. Open up the windows or take a walk away from people. Staying inside could have an impact on your mental health,being stuck in your house all day.

    Tip #4: Yoga or Meditation

    Yoga and meditation is not hippie culture or dumb. It is a way to find control of the situation that you're in and your inner self. It helps you to be aware of what's happening and how you decide what to do next. Also to distract any bad problems that you are having.

    Yoga is beautiful. It only takes a few minutes to recognize it.

    Tip #5: Be organized and clean

    Being clean obviously shows a positive effect. It is easier to move and it makes you feel a lot better. It also makes you remember where you put your items. Just get your headphones or airpods and start cleaning.

    Conclusion

    These seem like ordinary tips. However, once you practice them, you'll feel much better in this quarantine. Hope this works out for you.
